What Is the MOST Fiber Optic Ring?
Unlike traditional wired audio systems, MOST routes digital audio and control signals through a continuous loop of fiber optic cable that connects the head unit, amplifier, DSP modules, satellite radio tuners, and other components in a daisy-chain ring. Every device on the ring must be present and functioning — if any single device fails or is removed, the entire ring breaks and the audio system goes silent.
Common Failure Symptoms
- Complete audio loss — no sound from any speaker in the vehicle

- Radio and Bluetooth work but CD changer or navigation audio is silent
